MAY: Act I 'A Sunday on La Grande Jatte'– The Introspective 140 years ago Georges Seurat began painting his masterpiece, A Sunday on La Grande Jatte — 1884, in May. The painting was finished and first shown in May 1886.
2026 marks the 140th anniversary of its completion and its world debut at the eighth and final Impressionist exhibition in Paris, which opened on May 15, 1886.
